LAST WEEK'S GAMES

January 14 at Rio Grande Valley Vipers - The 14ers finished up an 11 day road trip with a 129-110 win over the Vipers. Josh Davis led the way with 31 points, while New Jersey Nets assigned played Sean Williams added 27 with 16 rebounds and two blocks. Eddie Gill had another impressive performance at the point, with 14 points and 14 assists in the win. Colorado moved to 3-0 on the season against Rio Grande Valley with the win.

14ers Add Billy Thomas

DENVER - January 19, 2009 - The Colorado 14ers announced today that guard Billy Thomas has been added to the roster. Thomas returns for a second season in Broomfield after being an NBA Development League All-Star, a 3rd Team All NBA D-League Performer, the Jason Collier Sportsmanship Award Winner, and receiving three GATORADE Call-Ups to the NBA last season.

In 37 games with the 14ers last year, the 6-5 sharpshooter averaged 16.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. He also participated in the D-League's first ever Dream Factory Friday Night at the NBA's All-Star Weekend.

Thomas is an 11 year veteran who has spent time with three NBA teams. In addition to receiving call-ups to the New Jersey Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers last season, he also played for the Washington Wizards in 2005 and 2006. Billy has also spent several seasons in the D-League, including the inaugural season of 2001 when he won a D-League championship with the Greenville Groove. Thomas is expected to be in uniform when the 14ers host Albuquerque Tuesday night.

Colorado's game at Los Angeles on 2/10/2009 has been moved up to 3:30 p.m. PST on 2/9/2009 and will be played at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, CA instead of STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

For the first time in D-League history, a protest has been granted to the Utah Flash after Colorado's 104-102 on Dec. 26. That game has now been suspended pending a replay of the final 25.2 seconds of the fourth quarter due to a scoring error. The final seconds will be replayed on April 10 prior to the two teams meeting in Orem, UT.

The 14ers lead the D-League in scoring at 115.4 points per game.

Colorado also leads the D-League in per game averages for field goals made, field goals attempted, free throws attempted, offensive rebounds, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots.

Eddie Gill ranks second in the D-League with 8.1 assists per game.

Dominique Coleman is the D-League leader with 2.8 steals per game.

Joe Dabbert is seventh in the league with 1.6 blocks per game.

Sean Williams is averaging 3.9 blocks per game since being assigned by the New Jersey Nets.
