Kentucky Retros News Release
Louisville, KY. Tree Rollins, Head Coach of the ABA Kentucky Colonels professional basketball team scheduled to begin play this week released his final roster.
According to Rollings, "This was really tough. We had some great players in camp - enough I think to fill 2-3 ABA rosters with outstanding talent. Too bad we can't have a 30 player roster. I think our fans will be thrilled with these young men."
Marcus Smith 6'0 Guard. Marcus was a former standout guard at South East Louisiana. He recently played in the WBA for the Southern Crescent Lightning.
Anthony Epps, 6'1 Guard. Epps was a starting guard on UK's 1996 national championship team and has been playing pro ball since.
Luke Whitehead, 6'6 Forward. Luke is a former U of Louisville standout and a great inside player and rebounder. He was the 2003 MVP of the Conference USA Tournament.
John Prise, 6'3 Guard. John played at Valdosta State University and was named first Team All-Gulf South Conference leading the team in scoring, rebounding and steals.
Ramon Taylor, 5'11 Guard. Ramon played at Eastern Illinois and was invited to the Denver Nuggets rookie camp. A great athlete with a 40+ vertical.
David Scott, 6'7 Forward. David is a former player at Miami of Ohio and all conference performer. He spent several years playing pro internationally.
Antwain Barbour, 6'6 Forward. Antwain was a JC All-American and played at Kentucky. A pure slasher who gets to the basket with ease. Capable of creating contact to pick up fouls.
Peter Walker, 6'7 Forward. Peter played at Wittenberg and scored over 1000 points and was first team all conference.
Xavier Oliver, 6'8 Forward/Center. Xavier played at Alabama State and in the pros. Great low post moves and defender.
