
Coffey, Dunn, Sauerbrunn Named to U.S. Women's National Team January Camp Roster

PORTLAND, Ore. -Portland Thorns FC midfielders Sam Coffey and Crystal Dunn and defender Becky Sauerbrunn have been named to the 24-player U.S. Women's National Team January camp roster for training and matches in New Zealand. The USWNT will play friendlies against New Zealand on Jan. 17 and Jan. 20.
In the last FIFA window of 2022, Coffey (4 caps) made a substitute appearance on Nov. 10 against Germany, logging 27 minutes. Dunn (126 caps) also logged 27 minutes in the same match on Oct. 10. Sauerbrunn (211 caps) most recently featured against Germany in the USWNT's final match of 2022, starting and playing all 90 minutes on Nov. 13.
The USWNT will play its first match of 2023 on Jan. 17 in Wellington at Sky Stadium before the two teams square off for a second time on Jan. 20 at Eden Park in Auckland. Both matches will kick off at 7 p.m. (Pacific) and will be available on HBO Max. TNT and HBO Max will be the exclusive English-language home for live U.S. Soccer coverage starting in 2023.
