Cody Kirby and Tommy Williams on This Week in the IFL

The two biggest stories in the IFL this past week involved All-IFL QB Cody Kirby signing with a new team and the Green Bay Blizzard making a midseason coaching change. Both Cody Kirby and Blizzard's new head coach Tommie Williams join Denis Puska on this week's show.
First up is Cody Kirby. The newest member of the Bemidji Axemen (signed on 4/11/2014), Kirby started the 2014 campaign with the Nebraska Danger. Kirby played in 3 games with the Danger while filling in for injured starting QB, Jameel Sewell (2014 IFL MVP). In those 3 games, Kirby completed 40 of 76 passes for 502 yards and 7 TDs adding 128 rushing yards and 3 scores. After an impressive debut season last year with the Chicago Slaughter, Kirby was named IFL Rookie of the Year. Kirby shares his great experience in Nebraska, working side by side with Sewell, and his excitement about heading to Bemidji to be apart of building a winning tradition with the Axemen.
The second guest on the program is the new head coach of the Green Bay Blizzard, Tommie Williams. After an 0-6 start, the Blizzard dismissed Chad Baldwin as head coach. Williams replaces Baldwin after spending the last three seasons with the team. In 2011, as the Blizzard's offensive coordinator, Williams helped guide the team to the United Conference Championship Game. He previously served as head coach of the Omaha Beef. Williams spends time with Puska discussing his new role with the team and optimism for the remainder of the season.
