
Cobras to Host Benefit Golf Tournament

RALEIGH, N.C. (May 22, 2002)- The Carolina Cobras Arena Football League team will host a charity golf tournament at the Crossing Golf Club on Monday, June 17 to benefit the Duke Children's Hospital and the Cobras C.A.R.E community outreach program.
The third annual golf event will feature 18-holes of championship golf at the Crossings Golf Club, longest drive and closest to the pin contests, as well as lunch from Bear Rock Café. The afternoon will conclude with a silent auction featuring Carolina Cobras and Carolina Panthers memorabilia, autographed MLB merchandise, sporting event packages, autographed NFL merchandise, as well as items from N.C. State, Duke and UNC. In addition, all participants will receive a golf polo and other tournament prizes.

About Cobras C.A.R.E
Many Cobras players and coaches have been active throughout the Triangle community speaking to children as part of the Cobras C.A.R.E. community outreach program. Cobras' players annually shed their helmets and shoulder pads to serve as active role models in the Raleigh-Durham community. Over the past two seasons, the Cobras C.A.R.E. program has touched thousands of Triangle area youth.
