
Cobras To Hold Open Player Tryouts

CHARLOTTE Â The Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League will hold an open tryout camp on Saturday, October 4, at the Charlotte Coliseum. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. with testing starting promptly at 9:00 a.m..
Cobras head coach Eddie Khayat and his staff will be on hand to evaluate players. Participants will be tested in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard short shuttle run and standing broad jump and evaluated in individual non-contact position drills. The tryout is for all positions with the exception of kickers.
Prospective players are required to bring their own shoes (turf and/or tennis shoes are required), shorts and accessories, and must be 18 years of age or older.
A $50 registration fee (cash or money order only) is payable the day of the event and all prospective players must sign an injury waiver during registration. A Cobras trainer will be on hand for emergencies but not for player taping. Family members and friends are welcome to attend the event.
The Cobras will begin their fifth season in the Arena Football League when the 2004 campaign kicks off the weekend of February 6-8. Season tickets are on sale now and start as low as $64 per seat. For more information, call 877-4-COBRAS or visit www.cobrasfootball.com.
