Carolina Cobras News Release
CHARLOTTE, NC â The Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League are providing true fan interaction for the 2004 season with a new mobile web service that provides a broad assortment of features to enhance the game experience.
The new wireless service will allow fans to interact with the team and participate in the game from anywhere in North America. The service provides fans the opportunity to participate in trivia contests to earn prizes, vote for the game's MVP, receive scoring updates within seconds, view a picture of the scoring play, and hear the fans at the stadium cheering for the Cobras, all through their cellular phones.
Cobras fans will feel like an integral part of the team as the wireless technology enables them to follow their favorite players closer than ever before. More than simply providing information on the team, the Cobras' mobile service will bring fans right to the games, regardless of location.
In addition to being a valuable added service for Cobras' fans and encouraging increased ticket sales and advertising, the new wireless service will introduce a totally new revenue stream for the team -- one that will grow over the next few years as mobile phone technology continues to improve and fans demand more from their mobile phones. Even though the delivery of multimedia content is new to many mobile phone users, it is a service that is being very rapidly adopted, and the Cobras recognize that adoption of this technology now is critical to ensure control of this new revenue stream in the years to come.
The Carolina Cobras have contracted with the experts at Feed Me Sports Inc., http://www.feedmesports.com to provide this exciting new service to fans nation-wide. Feed Me Sports specializes in the development of wireless web services for the sports industry. Inquiries for programming services or investment opportunities should be directed to: Darrell Hancock, Chief Marketing Officer, dhancock@feedmesports.com.
