Coach Murphy Serves It Up

May 13, 2008 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
New Mexico Scorpions News Release

[RIO RANCHO, N.M.]-Over the weekend Scorpions head coach Randy Murphy served it up for charity. The American Caner Society Action Network (ACS CAN) invited Murphy as a guest bartender for their annual fundraiser.

Between his skills as a bartender and of course his undistinguishable charm and wit, Murphy collected over $200 in tips to donate to ACS CAN. The event also featured a silent auction and various other donations during the event at ONiell's Pub. The total amount raised for this great cause was nearly $1,300.

ACS CAN is the nonprofit, nonpartisan sister advocacy organization of the American Cancer Society, which is dedicated to eliminating cancer as a major health problem. ACS CAN works to encourage lawmakers and candidates to support laws and policies that will make cancer a top national priority. Through ACS CAN, ordinary people can achieve extraordinary results in the fight against cancer. For more information, visit www.acscan.org.
