
Clarkson Named af2 Executive of Year

Huntsville, AL- Tennessee Valley Vipers Owner and President, Art Clarkson, was named the af2 Executive of the Year at the Board of Directors meetings this week in Chicago for the second time in three years.
"This is a team award and it goes to show that we have a great organization and we plan to continue to get better as an organization," Clarkson said.
He is Chairman of the Rules and Competition Committee and a member of the Executive Committee. The Vipers are one of only two teams to reach the playoffs every season and have set the standard for front-office operations. The past four seasons under Mr. Clarkson's guidance the Vipers have been #1 in attendance capacity averaging 87% a game. The Vipers also have compiled the best overall record in af2 over the past three seasons(41-7). He is also the President of Clarkson Sports Management, Inc., based in Huntsville, Ala.
This year the Vipers also had the af2 Coach of the Year in Kevin Guy and the af2 Lineman of the Year in Wes Stephens.
