
City-Wide Pep Rally to Welcome "Home" Houston Roughnecks Friday at City Hall

All Houstonians are invited to join this community-wide celebration, as the City of Houston officially welcomes the Houston Roughnecks "home" to Houston, ahead of the team's season opener vs. the Orlando Guardians Saturday, Feb. 18 at TDECU Stadium, the XFL's first prime-time game of the season. Since January, the Roughnecks have been training at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and this event will be the team's first official public appearance as a team of 51-players.
Mayor Sylvester Turner will present Houstonian and legendary Head Coach Wade Phillips with a city-wide proclamation, and later that evening, City Hall and surrounding areas will be lit with Houston Blue and Roughneck Red.
Houston's-own Kiotti "Radio Boss" Brown will emcee the event, which includes a meet-and-greet with Roughnecks players and coaches, photo opportunities, special ticket and swag giveaways, music, and food trucks. Everyone is encouraged to wear the team's official colors, "Houston Blue and Roughneck Red," to show their support and represent the only undefeated XFL team from 2020.
