(Cincinnati, OH) – The Cincinnati Riverhawks (6-8-0, 18 points) will be racking up the miles as they begin a stretch of four straight games on the road. The Hawks travel to Indiana tonight for their last match up of the season with the Blast (2-13-1, 7 points). Cincinnati leads the series this season 4-1.

After the Riverhawks return from Indiana, they will fly to El Paso for a two game weekend series with the Patriots (6-7-2, 20 points). Cincinnati and El Paso will play Friday July 4 and Sunday July 6. The Riverhawks return to Cincinnati that Sunday and prepare for a game against the Minnesota Thunder on Friday July 11.

RIVERHAWKS RELEASE FOUR

Cincinnati Riverhawks General Manager Jim Peto announced today that the team released four players on Monday June 30, 2003 in an effort to firm up the roster for a run at the playoffs. Midfielder Chris Doré, forward Byron Carmichael, defender Nick Glaser and keeper Matt Reiswerg were released from their contracts by mutual consent.

In 13 games with the Riverhawks this season, Doré, a 5-10, 165 pound midfielder from Vermillion, Ohio, played 985 minutes tallying 3 goals and 1 assist for 8 points.

Carmichael, a 6-1, 170 pound forward out of Marshall University, appeared in 13 games putting up 4 goals and 3 assist for 11 points.

Glaser played in 14 games for Cincinnati this season. The 5-10, 174 pound defender from Memphis, TN played 1276 minutes and had one assist.

Reiswerg, a 6-2, 185 pound keeper from Indianapolis, IN, appeared in 6 games with a 2-3 record and 1 shutout. Reiswerg allowed 10 goals in 480 minutes for a GAA of 1.88.
