Cincinnati Kings News Release

Uniondale, NY (July 26, 2006) - The Cincinnati Kings extended their winning streak to four games beating the Long Island Rough Riders, 4-0, on Wednesday afternoon at the Mitchel Athletic Complex. The win improves the Kings' record to 8-5-3 (27 points); good for third place in United Soccer Leagues' Second Division.

John Krause netted a hat trick for the Kings in just his fourth game with the team. In the 20th minute, Krause beat Rough Riders' goalkeeper Jack Stefanowski in the bottom right corner after a poor clearance by the defense. Krause struck again in the 24th minute to put the Kings up 2-0 at halftime.

In the 61st minute, Krause scored his final goal from eight yards out off a cross from Michael McGinlay, who was credit with the assist. The Kings wrapped up the scoring in the 90th minute, as Phillip Koshi beat Stefanowski for the Kings' fourth goal. Tiest Sondaal was credited with the assist on Koshi's goal.

Kings' goalkeeper Jordan James recorded his league-leading seventh shutout of the season and added four saves. Stefanowski recorded two saves for the Rough Riders.

The win for the Kings did not come without losses as Derek Smith, Trey Alexander, and Josh Barton will not be able to play in the Kings next game. Smith was red carded in the 72nd minute. Alexander and Barton will have to sit due to yellow card accumulations throughout the season.

The Kings continue their road trip next Wednesday as they play the New Hampshire Phantoms on August 2 at 7:30 p.m. The Kings return to Cincinnati for their home finale on August 12. For tickets, visit www.cincinnatikings.com.
