
Cincinnati Kings Move Closer to First Playoff Spot

Harrisburg, PA -- The Cincinnati Kings took an important step toward clinching the first playoff berth in franchise history by defeating the Harrisburg City Islanders, 1-0, on the road Saturday night in United Soccer Leagues Second Division action.
The Kings struck early on a Sam Fiore goal in the third minute, off a Trey Alexander free kick that Fiore headed in for the score. The Kings' defense kept Harrisburg scoreless, as goalie Jordan James had eight saves for his league-leading eighth shutout.
Harrisburg outshot the Kings, 14-10, with the City Islanders recording three saves. The loss eliminates Harrisburg from playoff contention.
The Kings head back to the Xavier University Soccer Complex next Saturday at 7 pm. for the final regular season game against Pittsburgh.
