Cincinnati Kings News Release
HARRISBURG, Pa (July 18, 2007) -- The Cincinnati Kings tried to pull off another last-minute comeback Wednesday night but fell just short to the Harrisburg City Islanders, 2-1, in United Soccer Leagues Second Division Action at Skyline Sports Complex in Harrison.
The City Islanders wasted little time getting on the board, as Harrisburg midfielder David Schofield scored in the seventh minute of the first half on an unassisted goal. The Kings got on the board in the 34th minute when Nathan Micklos found the back of the net, assisted by Richard Moodie. Just two minutes later, though, the Kings gave up the second and deciding score on a goal by Brian Ombiji, with the assist by Brian Devlin.
Both teams had a number of scoring chances in the second half, but were unable to convert as the Kings' record now drops to 2-9-4 on the season. Harrisburg season record improves to 8-2-5. The Kings return to Town & Country Sports Complex Friday night at 7:30 p.m. to face the Richmond Kickers.
