Cincinnati Commandos News Release
The Commandos have signed the following players for the 2011 CIFL Season:
Peter Warrick (5'11" 200 lbs.) WR - Florida State University
Caught 207 passes for over 3,500 yards with 32 touchdown receptions (an FSU record), 937 career return yards... 1998-1999 named 1st Team All-American and Heisman Trophy finalist... #1 draft pick (#4 overall) of the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2000 NFL Draft and played with the Bengals until 2004. Played for the Seattle Seahawks in 2005... NFL Career receptions (275), yards (2,991), touchdowns (18), rushes (53), rushing yards (360) rushing touchdowns (2), punt returns (60) return yards (555), return touchdowns (2) and 12 tackles. Warrick played for the Las Vegas Gladiators (Arena Football League) - 2007, Montreal Alouettes (Canadian Football League) - 2008, California Redwoods (United Football League) - 2009 and Bloomington Extreme (Indoor Football League) - 2009. He coached at his high school Alma matter in Bradenton, FL during the 2010 season.
Tyler Sheehan (6'03" 224 lbs.) QB - Bowling Green State University
Sheehan signed with the Houston Texans (NFL) as an undrafted free agent was released in training camp. He set numerous school records in helping Bowling Green advance to its first bowl game since the 2007 season. His 4,051 yards, 375 completions, and 575 attempts all broke university marks. During a 36-35 win against Kent State, Sheehan passed for a school-record 505 yards, including the game-winning score with five seconds left. After the season, he was named Third Team All-MAC and the team's co-Most Valuable Player... Attended LaSalle High School in Cincinnati.
Reggie Myles (5'11" 195lbs.) DB - University of Alabama
Played for Cincinnati Bengals (NFL) from 2002 through 2005 where he amassed 55 tackles and 2 forced fumbles. In 2007 was drafted by the All-American Football League, but the league never got off the ground... last played for the B.C. Lions of the Canadian Football League in 2008.
Brandon Harrison (5'09" 206 lbs.) DB - University of Michigan
3 year starter at Michigan where he tallied 164 career tackles, 3 interceptions and a forced fumble. He was named to the Sporting News Freshman All-American Team (2nd team). Attended Chaminade-Julienne High School (2005) coached by Jim Place ... ran 40-yard dash in 4.25 seconds and bench pressed 320 pounds ... Key Statistics ... totaled 285 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, eight forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and 11 interceptions during career ... rushed 140 times for 1,532 yards and scored 13 touchdowns as a running back ... also gained 1,395 yards on kickoff and punt returns and scored seven special teams touchdowns.
Maurice "Moe" Lee (5'09" 185 lbs.) WR - The Ohio State University
Lee has experience in the National Indoor Football League, American Indoor Football League and the American Indoor Football Association. In 2005, Lee led the NIFL in all purpose yards and was a first team All-Star selection. Lee also grabbed first team All-Star selections in the AIFA and the AIFL. As a member of the Silverbacks in 2006, Lee broke the league's single game record for receptions, yards, and TD receptions. Moe had 15 catches for 191 yards and 6 TD's to set the record. Later that season he broke his own records with 17 catches for 197 yards and 7 TD's. Lee finished the season with 90 catches for 1,285 yards and 29 TD's and was voted to the All-Star Team. Lee played last for the Marion Mayhem (CIFL) in 2009. Prior to turning pro, Lee was a part of the 2002 National Championship team at The Ohio State University. He played with the Buckeyes from 1999- 2002. He has a B.A. Education/Sports and Leisure Studies, 2004.
George Murray (6'02" 210 lbs.) WR/QB - University of Cincinnati
Murray is from James Rickards High School in Tallahassee, FL played four years at UC. Murray originally a QB moved to WR where he excelled and was the Bearcats leading receiver in 2003 and 2004. Murray played professionally with the Cincinnati Marshals (NIFL) - 2006, Miami Valley Silverbacks (CIFL) - 2007 and Mahoning Valley Thunder (af2) - 2009.
Derrick Crawford (6'03" 290) DL - Texas A&M Commerce
Played football at Trinity Valley Community College where he was 2nd team JUCO All-American. Transferred to Texas A&M - Commerce where he earned 2nd team All-American in 2002 and 2003, Lone Star Conference South Division DL of the Year and 1st team Don Hansen All-American (2003). Played for Cincinnati Bengals 2004-2005, Frankfort Galaxy (NFLEurope) 2005, Orlando Predators (AFL) 2006, Las Vegas Gladiators (AFL) 2007 and Miami Valley Silverbacks (CIFL) in 2010 where he was 2nd Team All-CIFL.
