
Christen Press Voted NWSL Player of the Week

CHICAGO - Christen Press of the Utah Royals FC has been voted NWSL Player of the Week for Week 17 of the 2019 season by the NWSL Media Association. Her efforts on the field helped Utah to two wins that week.
In the first game played midweek on Aug. 7 against Sky Blue FC, Press scored a pair of goals within the first half of the 3-0 win at 27 minutes and 29 minutes. She was a threat throughout the game, taking 11 shots in all and seven of them on target. She also finished with an 80.6 percent passing accuracy.
In the 3-1 win over Reign FC on Aug. 11, Press played aggressively with three key passes, posed a threat by getting in some dangerous attacking areas and took five shots overall. The Utah Royals FC are ranked 5th in the league, with a record of 7-6-3 with 24 points.
