Snohomish County Explosion News Release
The Explosion announced today that Chris Weakley has been cleared to play in tomorrow night's game against the Salem Stampede (6-0). Weakley who has already served one of his two game suspensions, will be allowed to play while officials and the league commissioner review the situation. With this being an early season match up against the top team in the Southwest Division, the Explosion is fortunate to have all its players at full strength for tomorrow night's game.
The Stampede is currently ranked 6th in the league and 3rd in total offense. The Explosion is ranked 8th in the league and has been hard pressed to hold teams under Coach Redwine's 80 points per game goal. "Monday's practice was one of the best of the year" commented associate head coach Brad Sturlaugson. "The team is focused on making a statement that we can play solid defense and improve each game," he added. The Explosion will take to the court tomorrow night at 7pm at the Everett Events Center. The probable starters for tomorrow night's game will be Darrell Walker (point guard), Rashaad Powell (shooting guard), Justin Murray (power forward), David White (center) and Corby Schuh (shooting forward).
