
Chris Rumble & Joe Zarbo Become First Two IceMen for 2015-16

Evansville, IN - Head Coach Al Sims and the Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, today announced that defenseman Chris Rumble and forward Joe Zarbo have officially agreed to contract terms for the 2015-16 ECHL season that begins on October 17th. They become the first two players Evansville has signed for the upcoming season.
Chris Rumble returns to the IceMen after playing the final eight games of the 2014-15 season in Evansville. The son of former NHL defenseman Darren Rumble, the 6'-1", 195 lbs. blueliner played three seasons of college hockey at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York before turning pro. At Canisius, Rumble, 25, was named All-Atlantic Hockey First Team Defenseman during the 2014-15 season and was named to the 2014 Atlantic Hockey All-Tournament Team. The native of Chesapeake, Virginia tallied 14 goals and 32 assists for 46 points in 84 games with the Golden Griffins. Prior to his college hockey career, Chris also played two seasons in the North American Hockey League (Junior) with the Wenatchee (Washington) Wild where he scored 10 goals and 30 assists in 53 games and was a two-time participant in the league's All-Star Game.
Grand Island, New York's Joe Zarbo is back in an IceMen uniform after appearing in nine games for Evansville at the end of last season. Joe scored 3 goals and 3 assists for 6 points in those nine games. Zarbo, 6'-0", 183 lbs., completed his college career at Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York where he netted 34 goals and 32 assists for 66 points in 134 games with the Golden Knights. He was also named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team three times. Before Clarkson, Joe, 23, played a year in the Ontario Junior Hockey League with the Wellington Dukes, scoring 33 goals and 29 assists for 62 points in 59 games and for the Youngstown (Ohio) Phantoms and Tri-City Storm (Kearney, Nebraska) of the United States Hockey League.
Both Chris Rumble and Joe Zarbo are expected to be at the Evansville IceMen's training camp which will open in early October.
Evansville opens the 2015-2016 season on Saturday, October 17th at the Ford Center against the Indy Fuel at 7:15pm. 2015-16 IceMen season tickets are now on sale by calling an IceMen Account Executive at (812) 421-GOAL (4625), Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.
