P.E.I. Rocket News Release
The PEI Rocket have announced that they have relieved Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations, Guy Chouinard from his duties with the team.
"We felt the organization needed a change behind the bench. This is a very difficult decision to remove a gentleman like Guy Chouinard. The 25 players all have a share in the blame, but unfortunately, only one person takes the fall in this difficult situation", said President & Governor Serge Savard Jr. "We just felt the team was not responding the way they should be", he added.
The Rocket indicated that a further announcement will be made shortly as to the replacement for Chouinard. Corrado Micalef remains with the team as Assistant Coach.
