GLENDALE, AZ (May 17, 2012) - The Central Hockey League's (CHL) newest franchise announced today that the team name will be the Denver Cutthroats! The team also released their team logo and colors, seating sections and season ticket and game day prices.

The Cutthroats will call the historic Denver Coliseum home bringing professional hockey back to the venue for the first time in 13 years.

"The Cutthroats have taken a truly unique name with a unique logo that certainly depicts their geographical location," said Duane Lewis, CHL Commissioner. "We are very excited to see the colors on the ice for the first time and are confident the entertainment community in Denver and its surrounding areas will embrace the team."

The Cutthroats team colors are green, blue, red and white and the name is honor of the state fish of Colorado - the Greenback Cutthroat Trout.

"It's a great looking logo that really incorporates a lot of what the state of Colorado is about," said head coach Derek Armstrong. "Colorado has always been an active state with beautiful scenery and the logo focuses on that between the Cutthroat Trout, the mountains, the water, and the colors. There's no other logo like it in hockey."

Denver-based company, Adrenalin, designed the team's logo and developed the team's color scheme.
