CHL Performance Of The Week Winner Announced

(Tempe, Arizona) - The Central Hockey League (CHL) announced today that Odessa forward Collin Circelli has been voted Week One's top performer for his two goal performance in the Jackalopes 3-2 comeback win in a shootout over Corpus Christi on opening night (October 16th).

Circelli received 885 of the 1,884 votes cast during the weekly poll accounting for 47% of the votes. Coming in second place was Colorado's Riley Nelson who scored his 500th point with the Eagles on October 17th.

The Jackalopes trailed in the game 2-1 with less than a minute remaining but while on the power play and with the extra attacker, Circelli scored the game-tying goal with 32 seconds remaining in regulation forcing overtime and eventually a shootout. In the shootout, the forward scored the game clinching goal in the sixth round accounting for the winner. On the season, the Oshawa, Ontario native has four goals and four assists.

The nominees for the CHL Performance of the Week for week two of the season (the period between October 19th and 25th) are as follows:

-Scott Wray of Rapid City scores game-tying and game winning goals vs. Arizona, October 24th

-Odessa scores five power play goals in their dominating 7-0 win vs. The Killer Bees, October 20th

-Simon Mangos of the Bossier- Shreveport Mudbugs caps their rally from a 3-0 deficit to win on his second shot in the 11th round of the shootout vs. Odessa, October 26th

-Odessa's Jeff Pierce netted his first career hat trick in the Jackalopes win vs. Amarillo, October 23rd

-The Arizona Sundogs tallied three goals in just 56 seconds in their win vs. Rapid City on October 23rd

Fans can vote for the winner on www.centralhockeyleague.com through Monday, November 2nd with the winner being announced on Tuesday, November 3rd. At the end of the regular season, fans can vote on the year's top performance identifying the CHL Performance of the Year.
