
Chisholm Champion in Maulers Reading Competition

Montgomery, AL - The Montgomery Maulers have announced the winner of their June reading competition with local Boys and Girls Clubs.
The Chisholm Boys and Girls Club won the overall contest by reading 43,893 pages as a club. Chisholm will receive a pizza party hosted by CiCi's Pizza on Thursday, July 7th with players and coaches of the Maulers in attendance.
The individual winner is KaDarius Jackson from Chisholm who read a total of 14,014 pages. Jackson will receive a Sony PlayStation 2 from Sears.
Other Boys and Girls Clubs who participated were West End and Trenholm. West End read a total of 8,680 pages and Trenholm read a total of 9,562 pages. A total of 68 children participated in the reading competition.
Scholastic donated books for the contest and each Boys and Girls Club that participated received books for their reading libraries. The Scholastic donation was worth about 750 dollars.
