KOKOMO, IND. - Visiting Chillicothe used a three-pitcher staff to limit the host Kokomo Jackrabbits to two runs on nine hits in route to a 6-2 Prospect League win Tuesday, June 28.

The Paints' pitching arsenal struck out three Gold and Brown hitters over the nine frames. Kokomo did manage multiple-hit efforts from shortstop Chris Amato of Kean University who finished with three singles and outfielder Alex Del Rio of the University of Missouri and first baseman Caleb Stayton of Ball State University who turned in a pair of hits apiece.

Chillicothe broke up a scoreless draw early with a three-run rally in the top of the second and added three more in the sixth for a 6-0 cushion. The Jackrabbits' crowd of nearly 1700 did get a chance to cheer in the home half of the ninth, as second baseman Connor Dall of Butler University and outfielder Griffin Harms of Wayne State University each drove in runs after the home side loaded the bases with nobody out.

Kokomo closes the first half of the 2016 PL season Wednesday, June 29. Lafayette comes to Kokomo Municipal Stadium for a 6:35 p.m. first pitch.
