Edmonton Chill News Release

With Stephen Sir away impressing scouts at the IMG Pre-Draft camp in Orlando, FL, Chill owner Troy Barns was looking to fill the hole at the shooting-guard position to help solidify the team's seeding in the upcoming Western Conference playoffs. To this end, the Chill announced the signing of Jeff Dunn who played most of this year with the Central Oregon Hotshots.

Dunn, a 6'4" sharpshooting guard, split his college years between NAIA Div II Linfield College and Div III Western Baptist, where he garnered All-American second team and honourable mention nods throughout his college career. While at Western Baptist, he set single game records for 3-pointers hit in a game, in a half, and for points scored in an opening half. Since moving to the IBL he has been an All-Star twice and this season was Central Oregon's leading scorer at 26.4 points per game, which was also good for fourth in the league. In the two game series here in early May, Dunn collected 75 points.

Dunn will be in town for the two-game series with the Vancouver Volcanoes, Friday and Saturday at 7:11pm at the Grant MacEwan gym, as well as in uniform for the Chill as they finish their season and start the playoffs next week in the Pacific Northwest.

"Hopefully Jeff can take some of the scoring pressure off JR and the guys this weekend, plus when Stephen returns next week that gives us unbelievable scoring depth on the bench for the playoffs," said team owner Troy Barns.
