Chill Burned by Sundogs Late

November 15, 2013 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
St. Charles Chill News Release

St. Charles, Mo. - The St. Charles Chill outshot Arizona 32-24 but could not find the back of the net and the Sundogs capitalized with a power play goal at the 13:21 mark to take a 1-0 lead that would stand as the final; the first regulation loss by the Chill in a one-goal game.

St. Charles (2-6-2) took control of the game in the first period by outshooting the Sundogs (3-8-1) but could not get the puck in the back of the net.

The game took on a more physical tone in the second period with seven penalties called after just one in the first frame. Neither team was able to crack the scoreboard and the scoreless game bled midway into the third period.

Tony DeHart was called for a high stick that gave Arizona their seventh power play and the Sundogs got the game-winner from Garrett Clarke after he threw a soft shot at the net through traffic. Chill goalie Robby Moss never saw it until it was behind him.

St. Charles and Arizona square off again Saturday night with the puck drop set for 7:05. Single-game tickets start as low as $5 and are available through MetroTix and at The Family Arena box office.
