HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. - For only the second time in Storm history, Chicago was shut out by a Major Indoor Soccer League opponent. The Storm fell to Baltimore, 13-0, on Saturday, March 22, at the Sears Centre Arena. The last time Chicago was shut out was Feb. 4, 2006, in a 4-0 loss to host St. Louis. Saturday's match marked the return of Storm midfielder/forward Stephen Armstrong, who injured his ankle against Monterrey on March 8. Armstrong had four shots and a block against Baltimore. The Storm competed without former Blast player Carlos "Chile" Farias, who served a one-game suspension, stemming from multiple yellow cards against New Jersey the previous week.
Next up for the Storm (14-13) is a 7 p.m. home match Friday, March 28, against California at the Sears Centre. Friday is Fan Appreciation Night, and following the match, Storm fans can receive autographs from Storm players and the Storm Chasers dance team on the field! Friday's match originally was to air live on Fox Soccer Channel. The MISL announced Tuesday that the coverage is canceled, and that FSC will broadcast the Time Warner Cable MISL Championship Final at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 26.

- Points leaders: Matthew Stewart leads the Storm with 52 points and 22 goals (all two-pointers). Carlos "Chile" Farias is second on the team with 51 points. He recently posted a seven-point game against New Jersey, and he leads Chicago with 20 assists.
- Cougars vs. Storm, head-to-head: Chicago holds a 2-1 series lead against California this season, and a 10-5 overall lead. The Storm posted an 11-10 win against the Cougars on Oct. 27, 2007, and a dominating 17-8 victory Jan. 5 in Stockton, Calif. California edged the Storm, 9-8, on Feb. 15.
- California ties: Storm midfielder/defender John Ball played with the California Cougars during parts of the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons. In 30 games, Ball posted 16 goals and 25 assists. ... Storm goalkeeper Jim Larkin played for California in 2005-06. In 21 matches, Larkin posted five wins and allowed 6.37 points per game.
- Chicago ties: Cougars forward Chris Handsor played for the Storm in 2006-07, posting 36 points, 13 goals and 10 assists in 23 games. The Cougars acquired Handsor in the 2007 MISL Expansion Draft. In 15 matches this season, Handsor has 11 goals, 13 assists and 35 points. ... Cougars midfielder Semir Mesanovic played with the Storm for parts of the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons. He played in 27 matches, tallying four assists and 15 goals. Mesanovic is second on the Cougars with 49 points. ... California defender Ryan Hall played in six matches for the Storm in 2005-06, blocking three shots. Hall currently leads California with 49 blocks.
- Road/home tendencies: Chicago holds an 8-6 record at the Sears Centre and looks to better last season's eight-win mark at home. The Storm are 6-7 on the road. California is 4-10 on the road and 5-8 at Stockton Arena.
