Versus Detroit: Saturdays match up marks the first time that the Chicago Storm faces the expansion Detroit Ignition.

Familiar Ignition Players: The Detroit Ignition boasts 15 players with previous professional indoor soccer experience and three that played on the Storm. Former Storm defender and current Ignition assistant coach Matt Johnson and former Storm captain Novica "Novi" Marojevic were both acquired by Detroit in the 2006 Detroit Expansion Draft... The Ignition also acquired goalkeeper Danny Waltman from the Storm in exchange for goalkeeper Jim Larkin.

First Timers: Rookie defender Chris Brisson scored his first professional assist last Sunday versus Milwaukee, on Jorge Valle's goal... Midfielder Mariano Bollella scored his first goal of the season, a game winner versus Milwaukee Sunday... Midfielder Andy Rosenband earned his first two points of the season off of a pair of assists Sunday.

On Top of the League: Chicago sits atop the MISL standings with a 3-1 record, the best start in team history... Storm 'keeper Jim Larkin leads the league in wins with 3... Storm midfielder Mariano Bollella is second in the league in assists with 5... Team captain Gaston Pernia is tied for first in the league in blocked shots with 8... The Storm leads the league in power plays with a 66.7 conversion rate and Chicago leads the league in penalty kills with the same 66.7% kill ratio.

Players of the Week: The Major Indoor Soccer League has announced its' Players of the Week for November 27, 2006 and the first place Chicago Storm took two out of the three possible awards. Rookie defenseman Chris Brisson was named the Defender of the Week and goalkeeper Jim Larkin earned the Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the second time this season. The 24-year-old Brisson and MISL rookie scored his first goal one week ago - a game-winner. Then on Sunday he added his first MISL assist, successfully finding Jorge Valle with a long pass, that resulted in a third quarter goal for Chicago... Larkin earned his second MISL Goalkeeper of the Week recognition in November (Nov. 6), and the 16th of his eight-year tenure in the League. The Storm's goalkeeper/assistant coach earned the 88th victory of his professional career on Sunday, making 19 saves against rival Milwaukee, including seven in a third quarter during which the Storm recovered from a 6-0 deficit to tie the game at 6 entering the fourth period.

On Tap: Chicago hosts the Detroit Ignition, Saturday, December 2 at 1 p.m. in the brand new state-of-the-art Sears Centre, located in Hoffman Estates.

The Chicago Storm will be hosting a toy drive for the Kids Fight Cancer Foundation, Saturday December 2nd during the game. Fans are encouraged to bring an unused toy that will be donated to children who are afflicted with cancer.
