Chicago Soul vs. Syracuse Silver Knights Preview

The Matchup

Friday, January 4 vs. Syracuse Silver Knights - 7:30 p.m. (CST)

The Chicago Soul (4-9), will look to keep their undefeated streak against the Syracuse Silver Knights (5-9) going on Friday night when they host the squad at the Sears Centre Arena. The two teams will meet for the third time this season. The first meeting on November 2 resulted in 13-8 Soul victory, while the second meeting on November 24 resulted in a 14-11 win for Chicago.

On the Radar

Carlos Muñoz remains on the radar after leading the Soul to victory on Friday against the Missouri Comets with a pair of goals, including a late 3-pointer. Muñoz also led all Chicago scorers on Saturday against the Wichita Wings, racking up two more goals to cap off the weekend with a total of nine points.

Bato Radoncic also comes off of a successful weekend after collecting five points on two goals and one assist against the Comets, and two points on one goal against the Wings for a total of seven points on the weekend.

The Competition

Syracuse will look to recover from a three-game skid after dropping to Missouri, Wichita and Milwaukee. The Silver Knights most recently picked up a 17-9 loss to the Comets after seeing a fourth quarter dominated by Missouri. Jamar Beasley led Syracuse with five points on two goals, including one from the 3-point range.
