Chicago Soul FC News Release
The Matchups

Sunday, December 9 vs. Missouri Comets - 3:10 p.m. (CST)
Coming Home
After opening up their inaugural season with seven straight road games, the Chicago Soul (2-5) will finally make their debut at home on Friday against the Rochester Lancers (3-3). Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. CT at the Sears Centre Arena. The home opener will feature $1.00 beer, $1.00 hot dogs, special giveaways, live broadcast by Radio Disney, a free kids zone, and post-game autographs and photo opportunities with the team.
The Soul will head back on the road on Sunday when they travel to Kansas City to take on the Missouri Comets (4-3). Kickoff is set for 3:10 p.m. CT at the Independence Events Center.
The Competition
The Soul, who picked up a 14-9 loss against the MISL defending champion Milwaukee Wave on Saturday, will look to improve at home against the familiar foes from Rochester. The Soul will face off against the Lancers for the third time this season after losing the first two battles against them on the road. The Lancers are currently led by forward Doug Miller, who earned MISL Player of the Week honors this week for his six goal performance against the Comets last Saturday night. Miller's six two-point goals established a new MISL record while his six total goals tied a league mark. In addition, his 12 total points established a new Rochester franchise best.
The Comets return to action against the Soul after a tough road trip in New York, picking up losses against the Syracuse Silver Knights and the Lancers. Missouri lost their last contest to Rochester 24-17, despite a hat trick performance from Leo Gibson.
On the Radar
Chicago will attempt to draw scoring power by turning to Carlos Muñoz, Bato Radoncic, and Matthew Stewart for an offensive boost. Muñoz currently ranks ninth in the league in scoring with 20 points. Radoncic is not too far behind with 17, and Stewart holds 13. The Soul will also look to pick up their defense with the help of Roberto Gallo, who ranks third in the league in blocks with 11.
Catch the Action
All home games will be broadcasted live on WBIG 1480 and WRMN 1210. Every MISL game this season can be seen live on the Internet at MISLnation.com.
