The Chicago Slaughter (5-5), the premier indoor football team in the Chicagoland area, will host the West Michigan ThunderHawks (5-5) tonight at the Sears Centre Arena. The Slaughter is currently in third place in the Central North Division behind the Bloomington Extreme (6-5) and the first place Green Bay Blizzard (7-3). Coming off a big victory over Green Bay last weekend for the second time this season, the Slaughter is looking to secure back to back wins. Adding to the team's momentum,Slaughter Kicker Chris Nendick was name IFL Special Teams Player of the Week after nailing an IFL record long 60 yard field goal in last Saturday night's 50-47 Slaughter win. With just four regular season games remaining, the Slaughter is vying to earn a spot in the playoffs in the tightly contested Central North Division.
