
Chicago Sky Waive Anneli Maley, Kaela Davis, Tina Krajišnik, Sparkle Taylor and Kysre Gondrezick

CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky waived Anneli Maley, Kaela Davis, Tina Krajisnik, Sparkle Taylor and Kysre Gondrezick, the team announced today.
Maley joined the Sky on March 11th, 2022 after signing a training camp contract. Maley was most recently named MVP in the Women's National Basketball League in Australia with the Bendigo Spirit. She averaged 19.8 points per game, 15.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists, becoming the league's top league scorer in 21-22 and led the league in rebounding in back-to-back seasons (2020, 21-22).
Davis departs the Sky after signing a training camp contract on March 14th, 2022. Davis originally entered the league in 2017 when she was selected by the Dallas Wings with the tenth overall pick in the 2017 WNBA Draft. She spent three seasons (2017-19) with Dallas, where she averaged 6.0 points in 19.2 minutes in across 33 games in her most recent season with the team (2019). In 2020, Davis was picked up by the Atlanta Dream, appearing in two games across the season with the Dream at IMG in Florida.
Krajišnik, a 6'3" Serbian player, signed a training camp contract with the Sky on February 25th, 2022 and was activated on the roster on April 30th, 2022 after recently competing overseas with Turkey's Galatasaray. She averaged 14.3 points per game and 11 rebounds during the FIBA Women's European Cup. Krajišnik and Davis both played together on Galatasaray this past season.
Taylor joined the Sky on April 14th, 2022 after signing a training camp contract. Taylor also signed a training camp contract with the Sky during the 2021 season before being released on May 10th, 2021. She most recently averaged 24.3 points per game and 7.1 rebounds during the 21-22 season with CS Municipal Satu Mare in Romania.
Gondrezick appeared in 19 games with the Indiana Fever last season, averaging 1.9 points and 1.0 rebounds across 9.1 minutes per game her rookie season was cut short before taking a personal leave. Her last game was on July 11th, 2021 and she was waived by the Fever on Jan. 18th, 2022. She was the fourth overall pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft.
The Sky will host the Los Angeles Sparks for its season opener on May 6 at 7 p.m. CT at Wintrust Arena.
The Chicago Sky's roster will be finalized by May 5.
