Chicago Sky News Release
CHICAGO - For the second consecutive season, the Chicago Sky will participate in a special two-day preseason event at Mohegan Sun Arena on May 4th and 5th with the Atlanta Dream, the San Antonio Stars and the host Connecticut Sun.
To tip off the event on the 4th, the Dream and Stars will take the court at 4 p.m. CDT with the Sky scheduled to play the Sun immediately following at 6 p.m. CDT. On May 5th, the Sky will face the Dream at 4 p.m. CDT with the Sun meeting the Stars in the second game to close out the night.
Last season the Sky split two preseason games at Mohegan Sun Arena, falling to the Los Angeles Sparks 76-67 in their opening game before defeating the China Olympic Team 92-59 the following evening.
"Playing in back-to-back games at the Mohegan Sun last year added great value to our preseason schedule," said Sky Head Coach and General Manager Pokey Chatman. "This year it will be even more beneficial as Connecticut and Atlanta are two of our first three opponents to start the regular season."
The Sky opens the 2016 regular season on May 14 at Allstate Arena against the Connecticut Sun. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CDT. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 866.SKY.WNBA or visit CHICAGOSKY.NET.
