Chicago Shamrox Announce 23-Man Roster

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL December 13, 2007 - The Chicago Shamrox Indoor Lacrosse Team announced today their 23-man roster for the 2008 season, which begins with the "Home Opener" on Saturday, January 5 when the Shamrox take on the Toronto Rock at 7pm at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates.

Fifteen players from last year's roster return to the Shamrox for their second season in Chicago where the team finished with a 6-10 record and missed the playoffs by a tie-breaker. Eight new players join the team from multiple avenues including trades during the off-season as well as from the dispersal draft, which included players from Arizona and Boston.

Tickets are now on sale for the January 5 "Home Opener" as well as all individual games for the entire 2008 season. Individual tickets can be purchased by calling the Sears Centre box office at 888-SEARSTIX or by going online at Season and group tickets (featuring discounts and benefits) can be purchased by calling the Shamrox front office at 877-SHAMROX. The Shamrox take the field for their second season in Chicago on January 5 when they play the Toronto Rock at 7pm at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates. The 2008 season features 8 Home Games that are played on weekend dates. In their Inaugural Season, the Shamrox drew an average attendance of 6,025 and record of 6-10, missing the playoffs by a tie breaker.
