Chicago Machine Picks Up 11 New Players in the Supplemental Draft

Chicago, IL - The Chicago Machine of Major League Lacrosse (MLL) picked up 11 new players during the 2007 Major League Lacrosse Supplemental Draft. The Chicago Machine had the first overall pick of the MLL Supplemental Draft which began began at 1:00 PM (EST) on December 5, 2006.

The Chicago Machine picked attackman Athan Iannucci for their first round (1st overall) draft pick. During his 2006 season at Hofstra University, Iannucci scored 62 goals and 18 assists which placed him number one in the nation in goals per game. Iannucci was named an All-American in 2006.

"I am very pleased with our draft selections," stated Chicago Machine Head Coach Lelan Rogers. "All of the players we drafted have the skills needed for our team to succeed. It's now just a matter of them preparing for the season."

The Chicago Machine drafted their next pick in the third round. Attackman Jason Cappadoro was picked up by the Machine as the 21st overall pick.

The Chicago Machine will host Open Try-Outs the weekend of April 21, 2007. Training Camp will begin the following weekend of April 28, 2007.
