Although there is one more weekend of training camp, the Machine decided to make its final roster decisions before the third weekend. "We wanted to have our final roster heading into the last weekend of training camp so the guys could get to know each other better and prepare as much as possible for our first game in Denver," stated Finneran. "Our team will be well-balanced, experienced, and fun to watch."
The first game for the Chicago Machine will be on Saturday, May 20, 2006 against the Denver Outlaws at Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium. The Machine home-opener is scheduled for Saturday, June 3, 2006 at the Sports Complex at Benedictine University - "The Home of the Machine" - against the San Francisco Dragons.
