
Chicago Fire Acquires Fourth-Round Pick in 2020 MLS SuperDraft from Seattle Sounders FC

BRIDGEVIEW, Ill. - The Chicago Fire Soccer Club announced today that it has acquired a natural fourth-round pick in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft from Seattle Sounders FC in exchange for the rights to defender Jonathan Campbell.
"During his time with the club, Jonathan always gave his best on the field and was a valuable contributor in the community," said Chicago Fire Soccer Club President and General Manager Nelson Rodriguez. "We were glad to find a solution that he welcomed and that also provided a return to the Club. We wish Jonathan the very best of luck."
Originally selected by the Fire as the 12th overall pick in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, Campbell, 25, made 72 appearances (49 starts) for the Men in Red over the last three seasons (2016-18), posting one goal and two assists. In 2018, Campbell featured in 15 regular season games for the Fire, starting in 11 of those matches.
