Cheyenne Warriors News Release

CHEYENNE, WY - The Cheyenne Warriors Professional Indoor Football Team is proud to announce that it will join the Indoor Football League (IFL) for the 2013 season.

General Manager Alton Walker and Owner Toby SerVoss made the announcement at a press conference Friday that the Warriors will leave the APFL and join the, currently, ten team Indoor Football League.

After an inaugural season that was plagued with APFL turmoil and game-day upsets, the Warriors staff knew that a change had to be made.

"It was a decision that had to be made", added Walker. "We could leave the team in a situation that potentially would not be beneficial to our players, dancers, coaches, sponsors or our fans, or do we advance to compete against the BEST OF THE BEST? The BEST OF THE BEST it is for 2013!"

After several months of negotiations and an invitation to attend the IFL League Meetings in Las Vegas in September, the Warriors were voted into the IFL by the League's Board of Directors.

"We are extremely excited to join the IFL and we feel that this gives our team higher stake.", said Walker "Not only will our players be able to compete with the best, but our fans will have the chance to enjoy the highest level of Professional Indoor Football up close and personal! We Want to be affordable and family friendly. If a ball goes into the stands, you can keep the balls, but you have to give the players back."
