Upper Marlboro, MD - January 18, 2008. The Chesapeake Tide of the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) announced their Assistant General Manager and Promotions Director for the 2008 season.

Martin Josie was named Assistant General Manager for the 2008 season. Mr. Josie brings a broad base of experience in sports management at the college and professional level. A native Washingtonian, Josie is a graduate of Fairmont Heights High School and holds degrees in Sports Management from West Virginia and Towson (State) universities. In 1999 Mr. Josie served as an intern with DC United of the Major League Soccer. In 2001 and 2002, Josie was Associate Athletic Director for Administration at Howard University. He has been employed as a customer service representative with the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball since 2004 and has held the position of Adjunct Professor of Sport Management with Coppin State University since 2005. Mr. Josie served as the Tide's statistician in 2007.

"We are pleased to have Martin on board for the 2008 season. He has a wide variety of experience in sports management, which will be very beneficial as we again strive for the playoffs in 2008," stated Tide General Manager John Wolfe.

The Tide also named Paul Clary as Promotions Director. Clary has extensive experience in event management, fundraising, promotions, and also has performed locally as an actor. In 2003 and 2004 Clary worked with the Baltimore Ravens promotion department for their annual SpringFest. In 2006, he served as President, in charge of fundraising, for Button Club Charities. In 2007 Mr. Clary established himself as a 9th Man Coordinator working with the Baltimore Blackbirds Pro Indoor Football team. He also worked on the launch of the Baltimore Mariners as their 9th Man Coordinator.

"Paul will bring a great deal of excitement to fans' game day experience, as well as, preseason promotions. He has demonstrated he can run a very busy game event schedule, and run it smoothly and with enthusiasm," said Wolfe.

The Tide, who play at The Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, are set to kick off the 2008 season on March 21st, at home, against the defending CIFL Champions, the Rochester Raiders. Season and Group tickets are currently on sale. Please go to www.chesapeaketide.com for more details.
