Tue., July 20 vs. New York L 74-80 (OT)

Dawn Staley scored a season-high 19 points while Olympia Scott-Richardson chipped in a season-high 16 points and nine rebounds. Becky Hammon led the Liberty with 17 points and 10 assists.

Fri., July 23 at Detroit L 53-63

Dawn Staley tallied 12 points and a season-high five steals for the Sting. Ruth Riley and Swin Cash each scored 16 for the Shock.

Sat., July 24 vs. Washington W 70-41

Dawn Staley tied her season-high with 19 points while Nicole Powell added a career-high 14 points for the Sting. Alana Beard paced the Mystics with 19 points. It marked the largest margin of victory for the Sting this season.

Staley on a Surge

In the last four games, Sting guard Dawn Staley is averaging 15.3 points, 4.3 assists while playing 34.3 minutes per game. She set her season-high of 19 points on 7/20 vs. New York and then tied it on 8-of-11 shooting on 7/24 against the Mystics.

Feaster Named an All-Star

Charlotte Sting forward Allison Feaster has been selected to the team of WNBA All-Stars that will take on the U.S. National Team on August 5 for "WNBA vs. USA Basketball: The Game at Radio City." Feaster was selected as a reserve by the WNBA coaches and will face off against Sting teammate Dawn Staley. The game can be seen at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

Big Win For Sting

With their 70-41 victory over the Mystics on Saturday, the Sting tied the third largest win in franchise history. The Sting's all-time largest margins of victory are as follows: 36, August 19, 1998 at Washington; 30, August 20, 2003 vs. Indiana; 29, July 12, 1997 vs. Cleveland; 29, July 24, 2004 vs. Washington.

Sting Hit the Road

The Sting hit the road for a three-game trip beginning on Wednesday, July 28 at Indiana. They will head west to face Sacramento and Seattle before taking a one-month hiatus from competition for the Summer Olympics.

Sting on the Tube

Be sure to catch the Sting on WJZY-UPN 46 this Saturday at 10:00 p.m. as they take on the Sacramento Monarchs and on NBATV the following night as they face the Seattle Storm at 9:00 p.m.

Catch the Sting on WJZY-UPN 46 on July 31 at 10:00 p.m. as they play the Monarchs in Sacramento. The Sting will conclude their season on ESPN2 at 2:00 p.m. as they travel to Detroit on September 19.
