Feaster Returns

After spending the offseason playing for USVO in France, Sting forward Allison Feaster returned to Charlotte on Friday night (5/21). She made her first appearance of the season on Saturday night (5/22) in Washington. Last year's leading scorer did not miss a beat, scoring 15 points off the bench for the Sting.

Sting Host Read To Achieve Tip-off Event

The entire Sting team and coaching staff will be on hand at Walter G. Byers Elementary School on Wednesday, May 26 at 2:00 p.m. to host a special Read To Achieve Event. They will discuss the importance of reading and then spend time sharing some of their favorite stories with the students.

Model of Consistency

The Sting is only one of five current WNBA franchises who boast a winning percentage of .500 or greater. Charlotte's all-time record stands at 111-111. The other teams on this list include the Houston Comets (.726; 162-61), Los Angeles Sparks (.683; 151-70), New York Liberty (.581; 129-93), and Sacramento Monarchs (.505; 112-110).

Lewis Leads

Sting forward Tynesha Lewis led the Sting in scoring for the first time in her career on Saturday as she recorded career highs in points (16), field goals made (6) and field goals attempted (9).

Country Night

Break out your cowboy hats and boots for Country Night as the Sting host the Indiana Fever on May 28. Beverage tumblers will be distributed to the first 2,500 fans and entertainment will be country-themed.

OVER THE AIRWAVES

Don't miss a moment of Sting basketball this season. Every Sting game can be heard live on WNMX-MIX 106. Calling the games will be Sam Smith, who returns for his second season with the Sting.

ON TV

Catch the Sting on WJZY-UPN 46 on July 18 at 4:00 p.m. as they travel to New York to face the Liberty and on July 31 at 10:00 p.m. as they play the Monarchs in Sacramento. The Sting will conclude their season on ESPN2 at 2:00 p.m. as they travel to Detroit on September 19.

Fri., May 21 vs. Houston L 53-60

Andrea Stinson scored 13 points for the Sting. The Comets were led by Sheryl Swoopes' 29 points and Tina Thompson's 19 points. 11, 290 fans attended the game.

Sat., May 22 at Washington W 71-68

Tynesha Lewis scored a career-high 16 points and the Sting totaled five players in double scoring vs. the Mystics. Chamique Holdsclaw led the Mystics with 25 points.
