Charlotte Sting Single-Game Tickets On Sale Monday

The Charlotte Sting announced today that single game tickets for the team's eighth season will go on sale Monday, April 26. Fans will have the chance to purchase great seats in the lower level to any 2004 home game beginning at 10 a.m. EST. Tickets begin at just $10.
Single game tickets can be purchased at the Charlotte Coliseum Box Office, all TicketMaster outlets or online at www.charlottesting.com. To purchase single-game tickets by phone, call 1-877-WNBA-TIX. Season tickets, FLEX plans, weekend plans and group tickets are also available in a variety of packages by calling a ticket representative at (704) 424- WNBA.
The Charlotte Sting will begin play on May 21 vs. the four-time WNBA Champion Houston Comets. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. at the Charlotte Coliseum. The 17-game home schedule is highlighted by games against the Los Angeles Sparks (June 20) and Detroit Shock (June 23, September 4). Alana Beard makes her return to North Carolina on July 10 with the Washington Mystics while a July 1 contest is set against the Phoenix Mercury, who recently made Diana Taurasi the first overall selection in the 2004 WNBA Draft.
The Sting will also play two pre-season games at the Bobcats Basketball Center in Ft. Mill, SC. Charlotte will host the Washington Mystics on Friday, May 14 (7:00 p.m.) and the Chinese National Team on Tuesday, May 18 (5:30 p.m.). Admission to the game vs. China is free to the public.
The WNBA schedule will break in August for the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. Over 30 WNBA players are expected to compete in the Olympics, including Charlotte's Dawn Staley. The rest of the Sting will continue practicing, conducting clinics and making various appearances around the community. The 2004 Sting home schedule follows:
