Charlotte Eagles News Release
The Eagles were on their game from the start tonight. Consistently in the Pittsburgh end, they capitalized in the 20th minute on a beautiful combination that put Dustin Swinehart down the right side. His cross was laid back for Jorge Herrera to hammer home.
Not satisfied, three minutes later, Ben Page struck a Herrera cross with composure for the Eagles' second. Emphasizing their control of the match was Amauri Nunez's follow of a dropped Swinehart shot made it 3-0 with two minutes remaining in the first half.
A Jacob Coggins goal in the 57th and Nunez's second of the night in the 62nd finished the Eagles' scoring run.
In the 79th minute Sean Bucknell tallied a header off of a corner for the Riverhounds to bring the final score to a confidence boosting 5-1 victory for the Eagles.
The Eagles' next game is against Bermuda next Saturday, June 6th. The game will be played at 8pm at Charlotte Christian Stadium and is the back end of a double header. The Charlotte Lady Eagles play the Tampa Bay Hellenic at 5:30pm
