CHARLESTON, SC - In the Charleston RiverDogs' on-going attempt to find out the many reasons why fans like our brand of baseball and entertainment through the organization's new "Be Your Own Fan" marketing initiative, there's no debate that everyone - simply everyone -loves Charlie T. RiverDog.
The ever-so-popular Charlie, the adorable, furry 7-feet tall mascot who later this week will celebrate his 16th birthday, will greet Charleston RiverDogs fans on Wednesday, April 7, from 6-8 pm at The Buccaneer Restaurant, located at 5 Faber Street in downtown Charleston.
Charlie, who turns 16 on Friday, April 9, has spent his entire lifetime entertaining families and fans of the RiverDogs and is truly looking forward to the appearance.
As a benefit to Charlie's visit, kids 12-and under will be able to eat from the kid's menu for only $1.60 (to reflect Charlie's 16th birthday) while the adults can enjoy draft beer for only $1.60.
While there, Charlie will conduct a raffle of presents that includes a grand prize, which will be two tickets to Charlie's Birthday Game (RiverDogs vs. Lexington Legends; 7:05 pm first pitch) on April 9 that will also feature Cocky (from the University of South Carolina), Sir Purr (from the Carolina Panthers), Clyde the Cougar (from the College of Charleston, Cool Ray (from the South Carolina Stingrays) along with RiverDogs' fellow mascots Chelsea and Bark.
