Channel Cats rout T-Birds

February 28, 2004 - South East Hockey League (SEHL) - Huntsville Channel Cats News Release


Huntsville, AL – The Huntsville Channel Cats jumped out to a 5-2 lead after the first period and cruised to a 10-6 win over the Winston-Salem T-Birds Saturday night.

James Patterson and Jessi Otis each scored two goals for the Cats. Joe Urbanik, Joel Bresciani, Mike Degurse, Allan Carr, Luke Phillips and Dan Buccella all had one.

Patterson also added four assists, Carr had three, Bresciani and Phillips each had two while Urbanik, Buccella, Jason deGuehery, Dave Cadarette, and Shawn Martin all had one each.

Jim Lubinski had a hat trick in the loss scoring three goals. B.J. Heckendron, Brett Roat and Matt Lefaive all had one.

Marcus Willy had four assists, Lefaive, Shane Fukushima and Chris Seifert all had two while Lee Jenke had one.

Matt Carmichael got the win stopping 31 shots. Terry Craven took the loss after giving up seven goals. Cam McCormick gave up three and stopped 19.

The Channel Cats will host Winston-Salem again on Thursday night at 7:05.
