Channel Cats Outlast Winston-Salem

November 13, 2003 - South East Hockey League (SEHL) - Huntsville Channel Cats News Release

Huntsville, AL – The Huntsville Channel Cats beat Winston-Salem 6-5 Thursday night in overtime. Jessi Otis got the game winner with 1:37 left in overtime

Allan Carr led the Cats with three goals and two assists. Otis scored two goals and Claude Amstutz added one. James Patterson added four assists, while Josh Mandel and Amstutz had two each. Mike Degurse added one assist.

Chris Seifert led Winston-Salem with two goals and one assist. Marcus Willy, Derek Kern and Byran LaChappelle each had one goal. Jason Silverthorn had three assists while LaChappelle, Kern, Kevin Carr and Dave Lopresti each had one assist each.

Matt Carmichael stopped 40 shots while Winston-SalemÂ’s Cam McCromick stopped 22.

The game was tied 2-2 after the first period and 4-4 after the second period.

The same two teams play again tomorrow night at 7:05 at the Von Braun Center.
