Huntsville Channel Cats News Release
Huntsville, AL â The Huntsville Channel Cats got 38 saves from goalie Matt Carmichael on their way to a 2-0 shutout of the Knoxville Ice Bears on Saturday night.
James Patterson and Dan Kletke scored the goals while Joel Bresciani, Jessi Otis and Allan Carr all added assists.
The Cats jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 16:50 mark of the first period on Patterson's goal from Carr. Keltke scored at the 1:40 mark of the second period on assists from Bresciani and Otis.
Carmichael stopped 14 goals in the first period, 13 in the second and 11 in the third on his way to his second shutout of the season. Knoxville was 0-4 in power play chances while the Cats where 1-5.
Huntsville will host Cape Fear on Friday night and host Knoxville again on Saturday night.
