
Channel 45 To Televise Minnesota Swarm Opener On January 10

SAINT PAUL, MN - The National Lacrosse League's (NLL) Minnesota Swarm today announced that KSTC-TV, Channel 45 will televise the team's first regular season game against the defending NLL Champion Calgary Roughnecks live on Sunday, Jan. 10 at 4:00 p.m. CST.
Jake Elliott will serve as the game's play-by-play announcer and the Swarm's own Travis Hill will provide color commentary. Hill is currently on the Injured Reserve List this season recovering from an ACL injury. In his five-year career with Minnesota (2005-09), Hill has recorded 31 points, 155 PIM, and 275 loose balls.
"We are excited to be televising our opening game of the season in Calgary against last year's NLL Champion Roughnecks on Sunday afternoon. This will give our current fans a chance to see our team before the home opener, and provide new fans an opportunity to experience the hard hitting, fast paced action of indoor professional lacrosse," said Owner John Arlotta. "The intensity level of this game will be very high, and playing Calgary again just five days later will certainly add to the excitement of our home opener on January 15th at Xcel Energy Center."

Fans in attendance at Friday's home opener will receive gold rally rags to help celebrate Country Weekend at Xcel Energy Center. Local country signing star Tim Sigler will be present to sing the national anthem and will be hosting a post-game concert. Fans also have the chance to win concert tickets and a meeting with Brad Paisley, who will be performing the following night at Xcel Energy Center. A full-size 3M NASCAR Simulator will also be on display during the game along with NASCAR memorabilia.
