Bandits Expand Front Office Staff
ROSEMONT, Ill. - Looking to build off the success from their 2011 National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) Championship, the Chicago Bandits have added Jack Mertes, John Alvarado and Jacquie Boatman to the front office staff.
"It was important for us to bring in quality people that know and understand what we're trying to accomplish here," said Aaron M. Moore. "All three of them started as interns and are now making career moves with the Bandits."
With the departure of Andrew Phillips, former Director of Tickets and PR, to the Akron Racers the Bandits have brought on Mertes, Alvarado and Boatman to continue the success the Bandits saw in their inaugural season at Rosemont Stadium. During the 2011 season attendance, rose 15 percent with a 150 percent increase in the team's season ticket holders.
As Director of Ticket Operations and Interns, Mertes' responsibilities with the Bandits will include group and season ticket sales, as well as continuing to develop the internship program.
Alvarado will serve as the Assistant Director of Corporate Sales and Tickets with his responsibilities including sponsorship sales in addition to group and season ticket sales.
Boatman will serve as Director of Community Relations and Media and her responsibilities include public and media relations as well as continuing to build the Bandits relationship with the surrounding communities.
"This was a great move for us," said Moore. "The organization is excited about what they will bring to the Bandits as we look to repeat in 2012."
