Billings will honor the athletes participating in this weekend's Special Olympics on Saturday night at halftime of the Billings Outlaws football game.
Billings Outlaws players will be participating in this year's Special Olympic activities on Friday and Saturday, assisting with the events and handing out trophies.
Some of the events that the players will be assisting with include the Opening Ceremonies on Friday and Power Lifting on Saturday. Then, over 300 Special Olympic athletes will be honored at the game with tickets to the game, a special section of seats reserved for them and Billings Outlaws bandanas to wear this Saturday night.
Halftime will spotlight all 300 participants on the field with special music and a special tribute. As the athletes leave the field, the Billings Outlaws players will personally "high five" each athlete.
Saturday night's game will be the second game for the 4-1 Billings Outlaws against the Lincoln/St. Joseph Capitols, with kickoff scheduled for 7:05pm at MetraPark arena after a 2-game road trip. For tickets, call 256-2422.
