Toronto, ON - (April 5, 2006) - The following is a national summary of CFL player and coach transactions announced earlier today by their respective clubs. For additional details, visit www.cfl.ca.
MONTREAL ALOUETTES
Extended the contract of non-import running back Ãric Lapointe.
Lapoine finished the 2005 campaign with 79 carries for 423 yards and three touchdowns. The Montreal native also scored two touchdowns in the Grey Cup.
HT - 5'11 WT - 208lbs DOB - Sept. 13, 1974 (Montreal, QC) College: Mount Allison
CALGARY STAMPEDERS
Re-signed non-import wide receiver Mike Juhasz.
In 2005, Juhasz caught 11 passes for 102 yards.
HT - 6'2 WT - 202lbs DOB - July 23, 1976 (Vancouver, BC) College: North Dakota
Extended the contract of non-import offensive lineman Godfrey Ellis.
In his first CFL season, Ellis played in 16 games and the Scotiabank West Semifinal.
HT - 6'2 WT - 300lbs DOB - Apr. 3, 1982 (Nassau, BH) College: Acadia
Extended the contract of import defensive lineman Terrence Patrick.
In 13 regular season games last season, Patrick recorded 20 tackles and two sacks.
HT - 6'5 WT - 260lbs DOB - July 7, 1982 (Bronx, NY) College: Mercyhurst College
TORONTO ARGONAUTS
Added Offensive Line Coach Charlie Carpenter and Receivers Coach Paul LaPolice to their coaching staff.
